This painting in my opinion is a celebration of the natural world. I was a nervous wreck creating this piece but thoroughly enjoyed the challenge of pulling this desert scene off. I worked on this painting for over four weeks and had the flue when I was working on it. The dune was so difficult to paint I couldn’t stop shaking with the brush in my mouth. This piece was sketched out to scale, it has the sand dune in the centre which meets the sea, it has wet brown sand with patches of dry sand and it has golden sand which has ripples scratched into it with a chopstick used in my mouth. All set on a beautiful blue sky which enhances the modern feel of the painting. Another work of art which will probably be seen as one of my most iconic paintings in years to come. It should definately gain value over time, and its worth buying for that all important investment.
